Beacon Montclair Development is a Real Estate Development Company that acquires and re-develops both Single and Multi-Family properties in the Boston Metropolitan area with a particular focus on both Newton and Boston Proper markets. While re-developing properties, our focus is to preserve the historical character where feasible while our local knowledge, building expertise and relationships helps us put forward exceptional Homes that meet the needs of today’s modern buyer.

As of recent, the family ‘home’ has taken on a whole new meaning. Once abandoned for 8-12 hours per day the home has transformed into the home office, school, nursery, etc. Families are having to reconsider their living quarters. MIKE PRESTON – CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Mike Preston is a Co-Founder and Principal at Beacon Montclair Development. Mike leads the acquisition and resale of BMD assets. He specializes in feasibility and highest and best use analysis. Mike’s brokerage background enables him to market and execute disposition at a high level.
Mike started his Real Estate career in Brokerage. First licensed in 2010, Mike has worked with a broad spectrum of clients. Mike quickly carved out a niche with investor clients. He can identify growth opportunities in the market depending on the client’s needs. While maintaining his current list of clients, Mike has successfully completed his own renovation deals. Fast forward to 2021, Mike is a trusted advisor and a top producer in the Greater Boston residential market.
Mike earned his BS in Accounting from Assumption College. He went on to hold roles at State Street Bank before getting into Real Estate. Mike currently resides in Watertown with his wife and two sons. He lives an active and healthy lifestyle. Mike can often be found training for marathons on the Charles.
MIKE STUCHINS – CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Mike Stuchins, Co-Founder and Principal in Beacon Montclair Development has been investing and developing residential real estate since 2004. Mike specializes in acquiring, repositioning and re-zoning properties in Boston and surrounding towns. At Beacon Montclair Mike leads the underwriting, financing, asset management and property management efforts. Since 2016, Mike has led the acquisition, financing and re-development of $35MM in residential units in the City of Boston as well as completed various Single Family residential developments in the City of Newton.
Mike has a diverse background which includes 20 years of Financial Planning and Analysis along with Investment Planning while working for Ahold Delhaize a Retail Supermarket Company who owns Stop & Shop Supermarkets. During this time with Ahold Delhaize, Mike also began actively acquiring, developing and managing residential real estate. Each project posed different challenges, be it a Condo Investment in a 2-family house to a New Construction 5,200 Square Foot Single Family in Newton, each project Mike continued to raise the bar while challenging himself all while learning the Real Estate Development business. Throughout all of this, and despite significant market fluctuations during the Great Recession, Mike always used his financial background to manage the Business side of the projects, remained patient while also building strong lasting relationships along the way with his customers and contractors.
Mike earned his MBA from Northeastern University and is also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he received his BBA in Accounting from the Isenberg School of Management. Today, Mike continues to successfully acquire and develop property and manages a Real Estate Portfolio of 50+ units in the City of Boston and Newton. Mike and his family have been residents of Newton since 2008 living in Newton Upper Falls, Newton Highlands and now resides in Waban where he and his family have been since 2017.
